Marble Visits the Beach is the first board Picture book using Auslan (Australian Sign Language).
Written in English word order, this book is a delightful read for children aged 2 – 10 years showing some key signs and their written descriptions.

The book shows Marble (a friendly bear) venturing out to a fun and safe day at the beach, bring items such as sun screen, beach umbrella, bucket and spade.

There are 20 pages of colourful pictures entertaining and educating the children at every page.

About the Author: Tara Hearne

Tara Hearne the founder of the company and a mother of two beautiful children, created Prompt Education in August 2004, only 2 years after her eldest son had been diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with moderate to severe Autism. Now 6 years later, her son Declan is mildly Asphergers and fully mainstreamed.

When Tara was trying to find visual aids and other tools that could help her son develop she found very limited resources, most were imported and not appropriate for Australia children - so she set about making her own.
Noticing ESL (English Sign Language ) and ASL (American Sign Language) resources were being used instead of Auslan resources, Tara set about creating more appropriate products for her son and other special needs children.
